How do YouTubers Make Money?

You must have heard of YouTubers making money off of the YouTube. And not just a little money, but millions of dollars. But do you know how do they do it? Let us see just that.

There are actually a lot of methods of earning money by YouTube. The most common one is by Google Adsense. In Adsense, you get to show ads from various companies on your videos and in return they pay you money. But this is generally a bit complicated for small YouTubers who don't get much views. The companies want views. They don't care about subscribers or comments. But generally more subscribed channel get more views. YouTube constantly changes its algorithm just to keep spammers and fake channels away. This is the worst part of Adsense, as you now have certain requirements to fulfill before ads can show up on your channel.

Another way of earning money is Affiliate Marketing. In this, for example, you get a product which you must somehow sell. You can create a review video on it or use it in any project. When someone buys the product from your link, you get a part of the profit as commission. This is useful if your audience is ready to spend some bucks for products that you show them are useful. Most major companies like Flipkart and Amazon provide this option for everyone to use.

The next method is to get sponsors. Companies trying to promote themselves can individually come to your channel and ask to be advertised. In your video, just give a little segment as "This video is sponsored by..." and explain it accordingly. The companies in return give you money. The major downfall is that companies don't generally come to small YouTubers unless they have a little budget or trying to advertise from multiple channels on YouTube.

If you create you own products and want to sell them, you can use YouTube to promote your product by creating a review of that product and how they can purchase. If you are using an online E-Commerce website, you can also promote your website so more users can come and purchase your product.
